Jenkins High School

Hershel V. Jenkins High School was originally built in 1956 and has been a significant place in the history for many of Savannah’s local residents. In 2021, the historic school was torn down to facilitate the building of a new, modern, state of the art high school for the current and future student body. The new design included an entire wing dedicated to a science based curriculum including lab space for a variety of teaching opportunities. The design for the new school also included a full auditorium with theater quality stage and back-of-stage elements for the growing fine arts program. Incorporating the school colors and the selection of high performing materials were integral to the design of this new school.
